Yes. That. And that there are so few therapist able - and willing to work with severe trauma. People end up in psychiatry because there is nowhere else to go - and they claim they can help. They can't, of course, but where are people in pain and suffering then to go?

Therapy is lacking, espcially trauma informed therapy, and it is expensive to pay for. Knowledge is lacking. This is why I keep on advocating and sharing. I am also training to become a psychotherapist. But I do struggle with the theories and the medical model that is present everywhere - also in psychotherapy.
